So I have been wanting an awesome pair of nude shoes for the longest. I was a little scared at first because I know nude is supposed to go with anything but I still have trouble wearing it with things other then brown, white or beige. So I am going to step out the box and start to wear my nude shoes with all kinds of colors. I bought another pair at first from Amazon.com that were a little bit lighter then these and had a higher platform but they were a little bit too high and they felt super uncomfortable so I sent them back ASAP. A couple days after that I went into Kohls and I instantly fell in love with these beauties. They were a lot out of my price range but I thought to myself they are Simply Vera by Vera Wang and they should last me a long time so they are an investment. I have not worn them yet, but I already have at least two outfits that I can't wait to wear them with. As soon as I break them in I will show the pics. I am so excited my first Vera Wang purchase.

So I am checking my email and I come across an email from hautelook.com and I see that decadestwo is having a sale. I know that I can't afford anything from them but I love to window shop anyway. I scroll through the outfits and I come across this master piece. I was totally blown away. Normally I am a black and white kind of girl and I have trouble going towards things with color but this dress drew me in like a moth to flame. Now granted I could never afford this dress but maybe if I could find something similar in my price range I would be all over it like white on rice. The search is on :o)

Wow I have been gone seems like forever. I have had so much happen within the past couple months so I haven't really had a lot of time to blog. Plus I have been super busy again at work so by the time I get home I am ready to stare mindlessly at the tv. My mom got sick, and I had to be back and forth to the hospital for a couple days so I didn't really have a lot of nice pics to post either. Thank God she is doing better now and life is finally starting to get back to normal.

I still haven't really been taking a lot of nice outfit pics, but I did actually leave my house a couple of weeks ago to attend a party. I have always wanted a sweater dress and I actually found this one in Sirens. You can tell this was a while back because it was actually cold enough in Florida for me to where this dress. Lately I have been wondering if I am getting a little bit too mature for Sirens (I won't say old). They seem to have a lot of super tight fitting, very short dresses and skirts. I have loved this store since I was a teenager and I still love to go in there and browse but I seem to be buying less and less stuff from there. Oh well I guess this is all apart of growing up. The dress turned out to be the perfect length and I wore it with tights and pumps so my legs were not freezing. I actually had a great time, even though once I got inside I felt like I was going to sweat to death. Well it was all in the name of fashion. I am going to try to keep up with my blog more this year but don't get too upset with me if I fall off the wagon sometimes. :o)

Mad about Mustard

So I have been really wanting a mustard colored skirt. Not sure why I have been really wanting one lately well actually I do know I was watching an episode of The City not too long ago and Erin was wearing a very cute mustard colored skirt with a light blue button down blouse that I just adored. I got to thinking to myself that I have a similar colored blue blouse that would be perfect with the right mustard colored skirt and after all of that here we are at this post. So now I just need the skirt to finish off the outfit. I found this really cute one at Forever21.com that I really like but two things are stopping me from jumping on it. One I think it might be a little short for work because we all know Forever 21 skirts tend to be on the short side, and two I really don't want to pay shipping fees. Now I know that might sound really cheap but that is the reason why I really hate ordering stuff on line (I never ended up buying the skirt in my last post because of the shipping fees). I just feel like it makes the purchase that much more out of my reach when I have to pay all these shipping and handling fees. Well I may actually have to make a trip to the store to find out if they have this skirt. That way I can actually try it on. It just looks so cute in the pic. I am already thinking about accessories, :o)

So I have been missing in blog action for quite some time, sorry about that. For those of you who have stuck around thanks I really appreciate it. For some reason I had been feeling uninspired for the past couple weeks. I am guessing its because work was super crazy. Work is still crazy but there is finally light at the end of the tunnel. Plus my mantra will always continue to be "there is always time for fashion" :o) So for my first post back I don't have any ootd's because I have not been able to get my mom (resident photographer) to take any pics of me lately, but don't worry I will have something in the works soon. I do have a pic of a skirt that actually came up on one of my shop it to me emails that I am absolutely in love with. I am thinking its great for the summer season and the price is right up my alley. So I just wanted to get some opinions and find out if anyone else is feeling it as much as me. Plus I wanted to know if anyone has ever ordered anything from alloy.com before? Are they a reputable site?

So I am such a bad girl because I have not been keeping up with my blog posts lately. I am not sure what is going on with me. I have outfits and stories to share but for some reason I have not gotten around to sharing them. I have been super busy at work the past two weeks so maybe by the time I get home I just want to stare mindlessly at the tv. Well anywho enough about that on to the outfits, because as I have said time and time again there is always time for fashion. So last weekend was Easter and I wanted to get a new dress to wear to church. I decided to go to Sawgrass (super huge outlet mall in Fl) and check things out. When I first got in I was not having much luck. I found a gorgeous dress in Burlington Coat Factory (sorry I didn't take any pics) but it was kind of out of my budget. I ended up going to Everblue and found this dress. I loved everything about it from the floral design, to the bow with sparkley pin. And on top of all of that it was $27.99 which was a great price in my book. So I paired it with a black cardigan since it was strappless but I made sure I took a pic without it so you can get the full effect. So overrall I think I did pretty well staying within my budget.

So I have really been getting into dresses lately. I seem to want one in every color, style, and length. I never used to be into dresses at all but now they feel so comfortable, and I am all about the comfort. I came across these two dresses on the Target website couple weeks back. I have actually been on a shopping ban for the past 40 days for Lent. Well Lent comes to an end next week and I am looking to break my ban by investing in a spring worthy dress. I am in love with these dresses especially the John Paul Galtier for Target, the yellow is just so bright and playful, but the Liberty of London for Target dress is so flowery, and cute with the one sleeve, perfect for spring. I am kind of leaning toward the Liberty of London dress because it is a little bit cheaper and I am also all about the saving of money. I am just not feeling the price on the yellow dress. I wonder if it will go on sale anytime soon?

Does anyone own any of these dresses? Are they worth the price? Which one looks better?

Really wish I could afford both but that will only happen in my next life when I win the lottery :o)

Wow, seems like I haven't blogged in ages! I was out of town for my job and I caught a cold when I got back so I kind of been out of commision, but that is no excuse fashion is always important :o) So this picture and outfit is actually kind of old, but I haven't been wearing anything spectacular lately since I have been sick so I figured I would put this pic up because I really loved the dress. I actually got this at Sirens for 13.99. I thought it was a great deal and I figured it would be perfect to wear to almost any occasion. I actually wore it to church in this picture. I am little upset with my shoes, I ordered them from amiclubwear.com but they turned out to be too big, they didn't have a smaller size available so I was stuck with them. But I love them so much, still trying to figure out what I can do to make a sling back smaller.

Oh yeah has anyone seen the previews for Sex and The City 2 yet? I just saw it last week and I am super excited, I loved the first one! I don't think I can wait until May 28th when it comes out.

Wow I really have a lot of black and white clothes

So this was what I wore yesterday. I really loved the skirt but I am not sure about the shirt that I wore with it. I mean it just seemed so blah. I have quite a few black shirts and I must have tried on every one that I own with the skirt and none of them worked, so I ended up with this black shirt. I mean I was really feeling my outfit before I left the house for work but when I looked at the pics I was thinking to myself wow I could really add some color or at at least a black shirt that has more of a fierce quality to it. I really need to get with the program and widen my horizons. I love black and white and they are always my go to colors when I buy clothes but geez this is getting ridiculous I really need to add some color. Its weird because my favorite color is green but for some reason when it comes to clothes I don't have a lot of green, ironic huh? Well Spring is coming so hopefully I can step out of my black and white box and add some color to my life, we will see.....

So as you can see from the title of this post, I am head over heels in love with handbags. I have several types clutches, and hobos, and satchels oh my :o) I just recently ordered these two from Macys.com a couple weeks ago, they were on sale and I had to have them. I can't believe it took me so long to post about them because I was so excited when they came in the mail. I got the black one because I was really in need of a new black everyday purse because the one I have from New York and Company was getting kind of blah so I wanted something with a little more flare and I thought this Steve Madden hobo would do just the trick. I got the Calvin Klein one because I really loved the color. Green just happens to be my favorite color and I feel like i don't have enough colored handbags so I went for it. My only problem now is figuring out how to style it with the clothes I have. Oh well I guess I will have loads of fun shopping through my closet and looking for outfits to match it up with. I'll post on what I come up with....

Baby Shower Hostess

So a good friend of mine is having a baby and two other friends and I hosted a baby shower for her this past Saturday. It was a lot of fun, we played all types of baby games, ate great food, and she got a lot of nice gifts. I had a dress all picked out to wear that I bought from Macy's on sale a couple months back but I didn't wear it because it was cold and rainy. So I ended up with this ensemble. I was kind of bummed out about not wearing my dress but I think this outfit turned out pretty okay. Plus it was comfortable which was perfect for the occasion since I had a lot of running around I had to do. What do you guys think?

I never really new about French Connection until I signed up for the shop it to me website and I would get updates when they would have sales. I am also signed up to get sale updates from Hautelook.com and they sent me an email letting me know French Connection is having a blow out sale. So as I said in the title of this post $11.99 must be my lucky number because I got this dress at Ross for the same price as the blue and black dress in my last post. I know this might seem kind of plain jane but when I saw it in the store I really liked the color and the fit. Plus its that sweater like material so it can help keep me warm on the those oh so frigid days in my office when the air is set on blasting. I am actually wearing boots and tights with this because it actually was kind of chilly outside. Sorry you can't see my boots but my mom is my photographer and we are still working on her skills. I tried to do gold accessories but they are kind of blah, I guess next time I should try something with a little more bling. Oh well I won't say this is the most awesome outfit ever but its still cute and you can't beat the price.

So once again it was actually a little chilly down hear in Florida. Well chilly enough for me to actually want to try out the long sleeved shirt underneath the sleeveless dress trend. I actually ordered this dress from wetseal.com a couple weeks ago. They were having a really great sale and I ended up getting it for 11.99! I thought that was the greatest deal ever. I mean it is made out of a sweater type material so it can keep me warm, it has ruffles, and it has the exposed zipper thing going on which I am totally in love with. It had all the elements I loved, so I had to order it.

I love Marc Jacobs but he doesn't love me back

So I get emails from Shop It To Me, which is basically a website that lets you pick your favorite designers and then they go to different websites like Nordstrom, Macys or Shopbop.com, etc. and then they send you an email with the designers of your choice that are on sale on those websites. Sounds great right? Well it does and it doesnt. I haven't really taken advantage of these emails yet due to the fact that a lot of the designers I picked are pricey even though they are showing me the sale price. For example, last week one of the designers that was "on sale" was Marc Jacobs. I saw this lovely dress and handbag and pretty much fell in lust until I saw the price. The website that was having the sale was actually shopbop.com. I mean the handbag which is gorgeous is $329.90 down from $498 and the dress which is fabulous is $299.60 down from $498. I mean I couldn't believe my eyes, I mean is this really the sale price? Now maybe to some these prices might be great and I am not knocking that at all, but to me it is still just too expensive. I understand that Marc Jacobs is a great designer and his stuff is really expensive but sometimes I kind of just wish he would show us regular girls some love and come down on the price just a little bit, well maybe not a little but a lot :o)

So it was actually a little chilly down here in Florida, (I know all you guys going through the 2010 blizzard are probably laughing at me as you read this) but it actually was a chilly day down here for Florida the land of 80 degree weather. Since I don't really get to wear sweaters very often I was very excited to break out this ensemble. I want to apologize for the pics but I was experimenting with taking pics of myself. I usually ask my mom to help me out but she was at work. I did realize one thing while I was doing this experiment, I need to just ask someone else to take the pic because taking pics of yourself is actually really hard. I have seen a couple bloggers do this so I figured I would try it out myself and low and behold it did not work out so well for me. So out of the one million pics I took only these 3 came out the best. Pathetic, I know :o/ Anywho enough about my nonexistent photographer skills and on to the outfit.

To go nude or not to go nude that is the question

So for the past couple weeks I have been in the market for a new pair of black pumps. I actually found a pair of Coach pumps that I really like that I wrote about in my last post. I still haven't convinced myself to buy them because they are sooo out of my budget. But now I have come across a pair of nude and black Jessica Simpson pumps that I am strangely drawn to. I am such a creature of habit and most of the shoes I buy either tend to be black or brown (I mean I just bought my first pair of red pumps a couple months ago). so I thought to myself a nice nude shoe would be great because it can still go with almost anything. I am still kind of torn because I feel like a black pump would work so much better with all my work clothes. The nude shoe is not a bad price for 43.42 (although secretly I am hoping the price will go down even more) Especially since I kind of splurged on some handbags a couple days ago, but that is another post for the future. Well I guess I have some decisions to make, I will let you know when I finally come to a decision.

Been a minute but I'm back!

Guess whose baaaaack! Well I guess since I don't really have any followers I don't have anyone to really guess, but just in case some one accidentally ends up on my page. I have not been blogging for awhile, not sure why I guess I was getting kind of sad that I could not round up any followers plus the memory card in my camera was out of commision, but I am putting all of that behind me and getting back to doing what I do best which is talk about fashion for the regular girl.

So a couple weeks ago I got an email from coach.com and I saw these pumps that I am totally in love with. I have been trying to find a good pump that is fabulous yet comfortable and appropriate to wear to work and for play (well who am I kidding mostly work because I rarely go out) but anyway I need a new pair. I have a pair of Guess pumps with the pointy toe that I bought maybe going on 2 years ago but now they are starting to get that ugly crease across the front from my everyday wear and tear. Then maybe a month ago I bought a pair of round toe pumps from Ross that were super cheap and cute I mean 12.99 right up this regular girl's alley but of course they started hurting my feet after wearing them twice. So now I am back at square one. I love these Coach pumps but they are way out of my budget. I mean $188.00 may not be bad for some but I just keep thinking there are so many other things I could buy with that money. But then maybe I should just get them and let them be my go to pumps like my Guess ones oh well who knows the saga continues......

Been gone for awhile

Ok, ok I have been gone for awhile. I am still in the process of applying to jobs in NYC and trying to relocate so that has been taking up a lot of my time, but as we all know there should always be time for fashion. :o) So I have been thinking lately I do not have a lot of statement necklaces. I have quite a few necklaces but nothing very eye catching. I saw this JCrew necklace on another blog that I follow. The blogger looked great in the necklace and I decided to track it down on the Jcrew website. Now I am totally in love with this necklace I really want one but unfortunately I don't have the funds to get it. It actually went down from $150 to $99 but that is still too high for me. Maybe if it went down to $50 that might work for me, not sure if that will happen but hey a girl can dream. If anybody knows where I can find this necklace on sale let me know.

So I know I have not blogged in awhile but I have been busy job searching in NYC. I have been trying for the longest to relocate, but I can't until I get a job and I am realizing that it is next to impossible to even get an interview especially when you are currently living out of the state. So to sum it up in a nutshell I have been pretty frustrated with my search. I applied to 4 places today in the city so I am keeping my fingers crossed that I hear something from at least 1.

But let me get back to the matter at hand, which would be my recent purchase. So in quite a few of my posts I have been saying I am supposed to be on a spending freeze and I realize I am so not sticking to that. I can't believe I keep breaking my rule! Oh well, too late now. The other day a friend of mine came across this website http://www.amiclubwear.com/ and they happen to have the cutest shoes at great prices. I mean she was able to get 2 great pairs of heels for 9.99 each. Unfortunately mine cost a little bit more due to the fact that they didn't have my size in the cheaper shoes. I am pretty satisfied with the ones that I got, except for the fact that the right foot of the brown booties fits kind of tight I am hoping it will eventually stretch out, but other than that I can't wait to find the perfect outfit to wear them with, I will definitely be shopping my closet for those outfits.

Splurge of the Century!

Ok so I am supposed to be on a spending freeze right now, but I realized I really need a pair of red shoes. Ok, ok maybe not need but desperately want so I can wear them with some outfits in my closet that call for red shoes. Plus I have always heard that every woman should have at least one pair of red shoes. So I have been shopping around for the perfect, reasonable pair for the past month and I have not been coming up with anything. Everything was either not my style, or way too expensive. One day I happened to go on endless.com and came across these beauties, a lovely slingback pump. As soon as I saw them my heart skipped a beat which usually means I am in love. Whenever I have that love at first site reaction to something I know its time to buy. I looked at the price and my face fell for a minute because they were $69 which is actually not a bad price for Charles by Charles David. But for this girl sometimes even $69 is way out of my reach, I take that back most times its way out of my reach. What made me rethink buying them was the fact that these can be my staple, go to pair of red shoes and they should last me a while so I won't have to buy anymore for some time. So I ended up doing a big splurge and I bought them. I haven't worn them yet but stay tuned......

So I came across this dress reading the Slaves to Fashion blog on Glamour.com and I have been really excited about it. I mean its a Norma Kamali dress and its $20 at Walmart. Who can go wrong with a price like that, not this girl! But than I actually started to read some of the reviews about the dress and they were not all great like I expected. Some said the dress is too short, or the material is thin and cheap, it runs really small so if your a medium you might need to get a large, I mean who wants to get a size bigger than what they normally wear. Definitely not me! Well I guess cheaper does not always mean you are getting a great buy. Its a really cute dress and I have been thinking about adding more dresses to my work wardrobe but I guess I really need to sit and think about this one.

They have them in black, navy and red. But I really like the black ones. I know I have a million pairs of black shoes in my closet and I need to start brightening up my collection but I just can't seem to get into the navy or red ones. I really want to order them but I am supposed to be saving to pay bills. They are actually on sale right now for $59.99 but I just don't know if I can part with that plus tax. Why oh why can't I win the lottery! They are so hard to resist. Who knew these shoes would end up being my kryptonite.....

Interesting Discovery

So I went to Sawgrass Mills (huge outlet mall in Sunrise, FL) a couple of weeks ago and wandered into the Gap Outlet. I have never really been a huge fan of the Gap because I always felt the prices were too high for this regular girl. But something told me maybe the outlet will work a little more in my favor. And in deed it did! I have really been into maxi dresses lately and when I came across this dress I thought it was the best thing since sliced bread! I immediately grabbed it up and ran/speed walked into the fitting room. At first I thought it would be too long but all the stars seemed to aline and it was actually the perfect length. Oh yeah I guess I forgot to mention the reason for my euphoria, the dress was on sale for $13.99! I couldn't believe it. So of course I could not leave the store without it. So here is the finished product, I decided to pair it with an undershirt since it is cut kind of low and I didn't feel like having the girls exposed. I am also wearing silver sandals but you can't see them. So once again I have come out on top with a great buy.

Happy Birthday to me!

So last week was my birthday and I was kind of sad because I always like to get a new outfit but this year money was tight due to major car repairs. So instead of getting a brand new outfit I ended up having to go shopping through my closet. I actually found a black dress from United Colors of Benetton that I never wore before! I mean it still had the tag on it and everything. Its crazy because for the life of me I couldn't remember why I never ended up wearing it. I think I might have been waiting for some special occasion, but I hardly ever go out so I don't know when that special occasion was going to come up. So I figured if I scrape some money together I can probably find a cute and cheap cardigan to pair with it. Low and behold I went to Target and found a really nice one for $22. So I paired the dress with the cardigan, and a studded belt and some heels, and VIOLA! I had a very affordale outfit. I really wasn't supposed to spend any money but I couldn't pass up this cardigan. I love it. (sorry for the lobsided picture my mom took it, still not sure how she got it this way, LOL)

Ok so once again I feel like I have found the best sale ever. But than again I think this all the time and maybe a great sale to me may not be so great for someone else. So we will see what the verdict is with this one. Lately I have really gotten into scarves. I know they are a big trend right now and I am probably fashionably late but better late than never. I found this black and cream Oscar De La Renta scarf at Marshalls for $16.99! And yes I did say Oscar De La Renta and I also said 16.99. Who knew I would be using that name and that price in the same sentence. Apparently Oscar De La Renta has some affordable items which they have started selling in Marshalls and Burlington Coat Factory. I never new this until I happened to run into the scarf in Marshalls and than after that I started seeing some clothing for affordable prices in Burlington as well. Above is a pic of me wearing the scarf to work, ignore the silly grin on my face. I guess I was very excited about wearing it that day. :o)

Fendi Slingback (Neiman Marcus.com)

So I am signed up to get emails from Neiman Marcus whenever they have sales or new collections coming out. I am not too sure why I signed up due to the fact that I can't really afford anything from them but I guess a girl can dream. I get one of these emails that says they are having a summer sale so I click on it and I am scrolling through great designer shoes and I am falling in love with all of them but there is one in particular that tugged at my heart strings. I mean I can't get over how much I love them but than I take a look at the price and my sudden crush has all of a sudden disappeared. These gorgeous Fendi slingbacks will run you about $304, and that is the sale price because it originally cost $675.00! So it looks like I will continue to just fantasize about wearing these shoes. When will Fendi, and all the other luxury designers come out with affordable shoes for us regular girls?

Lion and Tigers and Zebras oh my!

Ok so I know the saying should really be lions and tigers and bears oh my but I had to replace bears with zebras due to the lovely zebra print maxi dress I found at Rainbow. I was invited to a safari themed party and I had to find some sort of animal print to wear. Now I am not really an animal print kind of person (although I did really want those Guess zebra print sandals that I wrote about 2 posts ago but I digress) I have come to the conclusion that its always good to have a few good animal print pieces. I went into the store thinking I want a dress but I don't want it to be too overwhelming. I tried on a couple disasters but I eventually came across this dress. As soon as I tried it on I fell in love. Maxi dresses are the big trend right now so I figured this is perfect. But just when I thought it couldn't get any better I realized that the cost of dress was $16.99. Yes I did say $16.99! I couldn't believe it I pretty much ran to the register and bought it before I woke up from the dream. Since the dress already had a lot going on with the print I decided to keep the accessories very low key. I wore black and white beaded earrings, and a black and white cuff like bracelet. As for my shoes I wore black sandal flats which rhinestones on the front, which you can't see since I am very short and the dress is very long. Overrall I would say this regular girl got a not so regular dress at an affordable price.

Rampage Crystal Satchel (endless.com)

So I know I have not blogged in awhile due to the fact that I have been working and than when I get home I go camp out in front of the tv. I have been inspired today because I have found a new love. In my last post I was in love with a pair of Guess slides, which unfortunately I did not get because I waited too long and they went back to regular price :o( but I have gotten over that and moved on to the new love in my life which is the Rampage Crystal Satchel on endless.com. Even though I really really like this handbag it is still kind of pricey for the regular girl such as myself. It is $98! I mean to some that may not be that serious but to someone like me who does not bring home a very large paycheck and has pretty hefty bills to pay it is Pricey with a capital P. Well as they say one can dream, maybe if I save up for the next month I might be able to get it by the end of August, maybe early September LOL.

Guess Showering Zebra Slip On Sandals (smartbargains.com)

So I am checking my email this morning as usual and I open up my Shop It To Me alert. For those who don't know Shop It To Me is this website that sends you updates on clothes, shoes, handbags, and jewelry that is on sale on certain websites. I think its a great site to a certain extent. The site actually does the bargain hunting for you so you don't end up having to go to a million different websites trying to find a sale. Sometimes there are some really good deals but then other times I see things that are ridiculous prices. I guess that is not Shop It To Me's fault but rather the store that they find the item in. Anyhow today seemed like a really good sale day because I found the cutest Guess Sandals for $34.98 at this website called smartbargains.com I am pretty darn excited because usually these sandals are $50 and up even at the Guess outlet store. So I am really contemplating buying them. Now if I could just get my conscience to get on aboard with this purchase instead of hounding me about paying my credit card bill I will go through with it, LOL.

Wow so this is what its like to blog! I have never blogged before in my life but I have written many journal and diary entries, so I guess I am finally getting hip to the technology game and actually typing my thoughts as opposed to writing them down in a million different spiral and composition notebooks. I mean does anyone even know what a journal or diary is anymore let alone writing? All I hear now a days is blog this and blog that, so that is what got me very curious and wanting to start my own. Actually another reason why I wanted to start blogging is because I also love fashion and yes I know there are a trillion and one blogs about fashion but I figure hey whats one more to add to the bunch. I love clothes, shoes, especially handbags basically anything that has to do with fashion I am into. Even though I love fashion I keep in mind that I am a regular person with regular pay so I have to bargain hunt if I want to continue to go shopping. So I figured why not start a blog where I can write about fashion for the regular girl such as myself. I mean writing about all my troubles with finding the right price and keeping up with certain expensive trends on a low budget. I figured a blog is the best place to do this. So here we go people hopefully I will be able to keep up with this, I tend to loose focus on things but since I love fashion and talking about my random thoughts I am hoping I stick with this.
